T-HUET Training - tropical helicopter underwater escape training

Training
Information

This training introduces learners that intend to travel to and from offshore installations and vessels by helicopter in a tropical environment by providing specific training in pre-flight and in-flight requirements and to equip learners with the basic emergency response knowledge and skills required in the event of a helicopter emergency – with a specific focus on escaping from a helicopter following ditching and sea survival techniques.

This training is open to learners who hold a valid OPITO-approved BOSIET (with CAEBS), BOSIET (with EBS), T-BOSIET, FOET (with CAEBS), FOET (with EBS), or T-FOET certificate. Proof of a valid certificate may be required prior to course enrolment.

This training includes physical activities, and learners must be medically fit to participate. Learners must hold a valid offshore or employer-approved medical, a recognised fitness-to-work-at-sea or diving medical, and/or complete an OPITO medical screening form at SEQU. Learners are responsible for declaring any medical conditions that may affect their participation.

The objectives of the T-HUET Training are that learners will be able to:
